I've watched the first 2 modules of Emergency Preparedness, and it is fantastically done. I am quite impressed with it. The presenters are very prepared and thorough. I was in Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma. Both were eye openers. For Katrina, we were in Fort Lauderdale when it hit. We were totally unprepared for a disaster. We had gone there in order to take a short cruise. Obviously, the cruise was canceled. We didn't have cellphones at that time, so could not reach anyone to find out anything. For Wilma, we were prepared; we had our 72- hour kits and such. But still, we were unprepared for the aftermath. Today, after those experiences, we are much more prepared. This course would have been very helpful for us back then.I look forward to watching the rest of the course, and learning even more!
